"When people ask me if I’m terminally ill, I plainly answer: ‘No’. And that’s not a lie. Unfortunately enough, it’s a bit more complicated than that. My disease doesn’t affect me directly, but indirectly it does. It’s not easy explaining that in just a couple of lines. That’s why I wrote this booklet.

Yet, in the first place, I also wrote this book for me. My really ‘good’ years are behind me now and they’ll never be coming back. They’re all but memories. With this booklet, I’ve been trying to do the same as with my last book where I tried to recall the authentic ambience of train line 44. With this booklet, I want to recall my ‘healthy’ period."
